Gas & Electricity

Anyone heard of Vimma? A battery you buy and charge up using cheap night rates for electricity without the need for solar panels.

If so, any good?

On paper it sounds like a great idea, but how long before you actually make the savings could be years surely.

Just renewed for another 12 month fix on the Octopus. Our current fix runs out in November and the prices between the two are nigh on identical. If we need to bale due to things going awry, then we can as there are no exit fees.
And if you happen to have economy 7 there is an Octopus snug tariff which hrats the water and heaters for half price

My last electric bill Octopus charged me 14.5ppkWh, slightly down on the previous months 15p. Cheaper than electric was 4 years ago.
The advantage of having an EV tariff is that 65% of all our electric is charged at 7p the remainder at 29p.
Or presented in another way our electric bill is £50 a month cheaper with an EV than it is without.
