Gas & Electricity

Imagine if the trains worked like this. Just before you get into Euston a guy comes round and asks for an extra 50p to cover all the people fiddling their fares that day. What's the difference?

What if the Government made us pay an extra £500 a year in income tax to cover for all the tax dodgers in the cash-in-hand world plus the people who are millionaires but pay less than an office clerk? Oh wait, they already do that.

It’s 2023 and people Are being rewarded and obtaining octofuckingpoints for switching off their fuseboxes for an hour at 6pm. This country is well and truly fucked
I’ve not actually done it yet! I’m waiting for the wind up torches to be delivered first. I’m not a monster.

Little bit of positive news re the energy price cap. After a slight increase in Jan 24 to £1928 the cap is now expected to fall to around £1660 in April 24 followed by another fall to £1590.
Whilst these are still well above the levels back in the early part of 2021 the general downward trend is expected over the next few years.

The gas futures markets are also significantly down, so fingers crossed this should hopefully bring back some much needed competition to the energy markets.

https://www.cornwall-insight.com/pr...ts for the April 2024,January bills of £1,928.
