Me to. Only added a few numbers on. Wish I’d thought about it last November though, I’d have been sticking a few extras on all though the winter.
Got a feeling it’ll be a chilly summer and a freezing autumn though, just in time for the next rise in October!
 
funny how all the sites went down today as folk tried to send their meter readings through and they blamed it on Martin Lewis for creating demand - if only someone somewhere had a database that told each of them how many customers they had
 
My deal runs out in May had notification on renewal prices today up from £165 to £441 on a 12 month fix.
 
For anyone with Bulb just spent 3 hours trying to get online. Eventually got to the meter reading page by going via the help page. Got to the boxes where you can enter your reading but it wouldn`t take my reading and came back with the screen response below.
Looks like they`re trying to stop dubious meter readings

Please email help@bulb.co.uk with a photo of your meter reading and we'll add it to your Bulb account for you.




PS I hate this outfit. Told them not to increase my payments and they have ignored this instruction and just gone ahead and done it.
 
Since using smart meters it's difficult for Octopus to overestimate our monthly usage. We are currently in credit £10.70 and tomorrow they take their monthly £125 D.D so effectively it's £135.

We shall leave the D.D at £125 throughout the summer months and also pay into our account the governments ton-fifty rebate. Consumption throughout summer should be negligible and so will reappraise again when the next rate rise approaches.

I understand that some folk are smart meter aversive, but on a personal level we're both delighted with our kit that not only reports accurate readings but allows us to keep an eye on consumption through the "Octopus Portal" displaying nice pie-graphs and energy tips.

Outside of energy management I enjoy reading, hiking, geo politics and travel.

In fairness, they probably never thought so many would leave it to the last minute
 
apologies. Can’t get picture right way up. Anyway - I’ve got one of these. Should I have done a metre reading or anything yesterday ? Is it to late today?

Smart meter mate, reading sent over automatically so you don't need to do anything.

f*ck me, the mrs is adamant we must submit a reading

ive been on the Bulb website and it even says no need with a smart metre, i don't think it even allows you anywhere to do one
 
These prices are scary as fuck. Up by £700 a year. News said they will go up by average £700 a year again in October. Folk won't be able to manage it. This is madness. Will certainly see less of those fancy German cars on lease deals and should see some sense restored to housing market with prices dropping which will help young uns onto the ladder finally.
 
Did meter reading yesterday and sent off to octopus.
We are on direct debit but owe them £800.
Need to find a way to cut down on usage!
