Gas & Electricity

Our washing up bowl is 2 litres so I don’t see how that uses more than the dishwasher. We don’t overfill it either. Anyway I like washing up.
The assumption made by most articles is that you just keep the water running to rinse all your crockery and glasses which is mental. Just fill the bowl up and start with glassware first. They also assume that you are just washing crockery, no pans, cooking dishes etc which use up lots of the space in the dishwasher.
Anyway all that said, dishwashers are convenient.

Found a better use for my torch , upside down and it lights up the room and i can see my way to the loo, about five paces from the bedroom, not silly me , this is a throwback to the seventies when we had no elec most of the time
Sorry Kaz but I read the first part of your post and just burst out laughing :)
