Gate for Hull

Don't know why they opened the 3rd tier tho should fill lower tiers first.. .

Let's agree to disagree on this one. I'm in CB Level 3 and it was great to be in my own seat last night which is rare for a League Cup tie. I'm actually thinking of sacking off the League Cup scheme next season because I'm pissed off being moved. If I do and my mate does that's two more stay at homes. I enjoyed the fact that just for once the concourses, toilets etc weren't overfull like they are for league games. I don't give a shit what it looks like on the telly. We never shut stands at Maine Road when the ground, at times, was less than half full.

Will be interesting to see how League Cup Final tickets are distributed if we get there. My understanding was that if you are not signed up to the League Cup scheme you are bottom of the list regardless of how many loyalty points you have. Suspect with 42,000 season tickets now that quite a few people will be disappointed, may make a difference to attendances next year!

My mate got one in 2014 with no cup scheme and 2000 points so I doubt it will affect many.

I don't know why people get so bothered by people leaving early, not selling out, flat atmosphere etc etc. Its not the end of the world.

Lots of people have other things in life other than football especially in the week.

I will probably show up for the semi final as I did against the rags, Liverpool and West Ham.

Another thing to take into consideration is for people who don't drive night games are a nightmare [ no pun intended!] After 6pm buses are one an hour if you are lucky. Once you are near a metrolink hub you are on the way but first you have to get there. My last local bus from Altrincham to where i live is now 22:20. There is no way i can get from the ground and catch that unless i leave a good 20-30 minutes early and if i do that there is no point in going. So i have to pay a minimum £6 extra for a cab to get home or i walk another 30-40 minutes minimum in usually cold and shitty weather and run the risk of encountering some gang of loons loitering about wanting to mug you or beat the shit out of you for kicks.

Not too sure the kids have to be up for school the next day is valid most kids these days seem to be up as late as their parents!

If I remember correctly the only time that all cup scheme members got priority over everyone else, ie a Cup Scheme Holder with 1000 loyalty points got priority over a non-cup scheme holder with 10,000 points, was the FA Cup Final 2011. Since then I think they've been in tandem, if you know what I mean. Cup Scheme Holders get priority but not over everybody.

I'm sure most people who want one will get one this time if we get there. There'sa good allocation for this game.

The other way round mate! Cup scheme was equal priority with higher points but no cup scheme for the semi in 2011. For the final I think it was essentially all on loyalty points. Since then its been cup scheme first (banded by loyalty points) then non cup scheme loyalty points.

Given that our wonderful City Council and their brilliant planning have decided to dig up all the major roads in and around Manchester whilst other major metrolink and motorway work is going on - there should be a moratorium on attendence self flagilation threads.
Nothern power house my arse whilst such incomprehensible decisions are being made. Unless you're a cyclist that is, then half of every road will soon be yours.

Unless I'm misundestanding you, Wilf, I don't think you're right. My mate joined the cup scheme in 2011 just before the Reading Q Final. I'm sure just a week later he was bang at the head of the queue despite having attended just one game.

Yep. Cup scheme do get priority for final tickets, however, like I said on the earlier post, last time it went down to really low points on non cup scheme ST. I don't think we have that many people on COC scheme. I seem to recall someone saying it was about 8000 in 2014 so I doubt it will be that much higher now.

Final talk a bit premature yet anyway. The semi finalists so far are strong and I wouldn't rate our chances as more than 50/50 over two legs against the Red dippers if they get through with our record at Anfield unless Pellegrini has a complete change of approach, which I very much doubt.

This, Manchester is terrible to get around now, love those concrete slabs they're putting down all the roads from Nothenden to town, brilliant idea.
