He did, and I for one still believe we are in for him. If there is any leak to this story you can bet your life it has come from the Inter end. If the club officially deny that we haven't made a bid, we are not interested in the player and he won't be signing for us only then will I say this deal dead in the water.
As others have said it could be Inter releasing this to get the rags to bid freeing up money for them to purchase the players they want. As long as we still buy Nasri and Mata Tevez can leave with my blessing. :-)

A 'we don't comment on speculation' seems a more likely response to a true story than a straight denial.
That said, I don't put any faith whatsoever in anything that anyone in football says. They say what they want people to hear, its entirely coincidental whether or not that also happens to be the truth.

If you recall this is the same SKY who reported that we had completed the aguero deal on the strength of a joke tweet from city and then had to backtrack rapidly. This is the same SKY who changed their stance from city on the verge of signing nasri to city have an interest in nasri in the space of 45 mins.
Theyve got nothing inside at city and they know it.
