If nobody is really in the know. Then you dont know if this thread should closed or not? Your guessing just like the rest of us. Why is your opinion more important than the rest of us? I do like you St Helens blue, I just dont like people telling us when to close a thread when they dont have any facts to back it up.

Here's from the Transfer page of the Gazzetta dello Sport, a post made 9.55 this morning, and they have not moved a millimeter from when they originally broke these news exclusively last weekend:

9.55 — Mercato Inter: Wesley Sneijder entro Ferragosto non sarà più un giocatore nerazzurro. Passerà al Manchester City, club con il quale la cessione è stata già perfezionata, e con anche Eto'o in uscita, il club di Massimo Moratti ha necessità di pianificare un'offensiva sul mercato. Uno dei primi obiettivi, di cui si parla da tempo, è l'argentino Tevez, rientrato al City (da dove però vuole andare via), disposto a calarsi l'ingaggio. Le altre opzioni dell'Inter sono Kucka (vicinissimo l'accordo con il Genoa) e Lavezzi del Napoli, con il quale si lavora per uno scambio con Pandev.

I don't know what it's worth to you, but for me it can't be clearer than this: Another categorical statement that Sneijder is a done deal for City. For Gazzetta to insist with this, they know things that others don't know, or they are risking their reputation on a gamble.

The way Gazzetta back their story, it would be unprecedented if it turned out to be false, or even worse, a guess.
