Here's from the Transfer page of the Gazzetta dello Sport, a post made 9.55 this morning, and they have not moved a millimeter from when they originally broke these news exclusively last weekend:

It says:
9.55 — Inter's transfer market: Within August, Wesley Sneijder will no longer be a nerazzurro. He will go to Manchester City, the club with which the sale has already been concluded, and with an Eto'o on his way out, Massimo Moratti's club needs to plan an offensive move on the market. One of the first objectives, which has been talked about for a long time, is the Argentinian Tevez, who is back at City (from where he wants to leave, though), and he is ready to lower his wages. The other options for Inter are Kucka (very close for an agreement with Genoa) and Lavezzi from Napoli, for whom an exchange deal with Pandev is being hammered out.

I don't know what it's worth to you, but for me it can't be clearer than this: Another categorical statement that Sneijder is a done deal for City. For Gazzetta to insist with this, they know things that others don't know, or they are risking their reputation on a gamble.

The way Gazzetta back their story, it would be unprecedented if it turned out to be false, or even worse, a guess.

Fuck, I so want to believe. Inter fans say Gazzetta isn't a joke like Sun.

Waiting for a British source before getting excited. The Guardian or Times would have gotten wind if negotiations were going on, one would think.

Why do they have better contacts at Inta than Gazzetta do ?? Can't believe City would feed them anything.

End this silly thread now.

Castration is too good for posters that come out with this comment!

Why - Fuck me we just have to accept he will be a rag by the start of the season. If he joins us,which I really want aswell as Nasri-then I will don my hat to you all but nobody is REALLY in the know are they?
So no-one's "In the know", but you want this thread gone based on your "In the know" info.

That's just silly.

it depends, city are not friendly with the media now, the media has abused the club and the people in it for a while now.
if constant news of city geting the dutch fella are coming out of italy then i go with that.

Maybe missing something here but heard reports today he wants to go to the rags not us - if he does go then Rags get next years PL or at very least finiash above us

Same old inferiority complex as with the Aguero deal and many others from some City fans. If we WANT Sneijder we have as much of a chance of getting him as anyone. The guy worships money and will go to the highest bidder,

THAT'S THE SPIRIT!!!

:)

Just my view - i think Sneijder will be a massive signing for whoever he goes too - would love him to come here and rate him far higher than Nasri whom i think will be a decent player but not what everybody thinks he is - he was part of a team that crumbled last year
