the only reason he would join utd would be if bobby or cooky/marwood categorically refused to go in for him - otherwise we are the better option (dutch midfield colleague, bags of potential, better platform to shine, and of course bags of money).

you can read that in one of two ways i suppose, i.e.

- the club aren't interested due to his age/cost
- the club have a better option in mind (seperate to the nasri deal)
- it's all a clever smokescreen to hide the obvious (he's comin to us!)

Until he holds up a shirt its all media outlets trying to up the ratings as far as I'm concerned. Logically I really do think City prefer Nasri because he's 4 years younger and a lot cheaper (Yes, you can afford 4 Sneijders but why spend just for the sake of spending). As much as Fergie wants to deny it, United can't afford to be as picky, whereas you lot already have Yaya and De Jong in place, only needing someone to complement them and Nasri would be perfect.
