Not by me, but I am genuinely interested in what positives you feel there has been from Sunacks government. Or is it a case if better the devil you know? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to get attacked or into a heated debate with some on here.
Me and my brother were talking on our drive down to Wembley and I know he’s much better off financially than me (good RAF career followed by a great job v different middle management jobs having worked my way up plus a fucking shit divorce), and mind he’s still contemplating voting Tory…. Says it’s been good for him, to say the air was blue for a few minutes would be an understatement tbh.

There’s fuck all redeeming about them, they’ve had 14 years and just made them and their donors richer while shafting the rest of us.

I personally don’t really like Starmer, can’t warm to him however that’s a trivial point in it all, we need a change, we need a government that looks after the poorest in society first not the richest, we need to get a grip on our utilities and ensure that they’re maintained to work for the people of this country and not the hedge funds of the city. We need some more empathy from our so called leaders and start building for our kid’s futures otherwise god knows what we’ll resemble in 20 years, it’s a frightening outlook if we don’t get things right soon.

I kind of feel the same, I always try and have an open mind. But I personally can't see that many positives for the country as a whole. I also worry about my kids future, like many.

I live in Blackley, house facing us is up for sale for over £250,000, my mum and dad live in Crumpsall, next door to them is up for sale at over £300,000.

We’re currently renting and are looking at buying in 2 years time after some huge saving efforts but it’ll be a struggle, I look at my 9 year old step son and wonder what chance he’ll have? It’s just going to be impossible for him more than likely. It’s all got out of hand, needs a radical change in this country but I just can’t see where from unfortunately, hopefully the new government will start things by building thousands of new homes.

I genuinely don’t know who to vote for. Most reasonable people seem to dislike the Tories, but I have to admit I worry that a Labour Govt will be bad for my finances. I live on investment income, having retired in my 40s, I don’t want to be paying even bigger tax bills.

But there are many things I think the Tories have got wrong; poor response to climate change and green issues, their Covid response, Brexit, terrible support for science and universities. They’ve been shite for defence too, with such tiny armed forces now with seemingly no desire to build them up despite the utter shit from Russia.

I don’t really want another four years of those lying, incompetent arses running the country, but I don’t want to be taxed to hell either. I worry that Labour aren’t the best party if you’re reasonably wealthy.

Maybe I vote Green or Lib Dem.

Very fair points.

You need to watch him. He squared up to me before the cup final.

Think seeing that poll I’ve got to vote Libdem. Thought I might vote Green if I felt my vote would be wasted in my constituency (Stratford, the nice one). But I now think they’ve got a chance of winning the seat.

Thought Zahawi standing down would boost the Tories’ prospects but I now think there’s enough young people in the constituency to make a difference. It isn’t as blue rinse as most Tory seats with huge majorities either. Plus there’s enough crypto-fascists locally to ensure Reform get a few votes from the Tories.

Would be pretty seismic. And hilarious.
