Car crash interview for Farage on the Today prog.
Visas for shortage occupations? "Within limits"
Vets? "Within limits"
Chefs? "Within limits"
Butchers? "Within limits"
Bakers? "This is getting silly"

"There are streets in Oldham where no-one speaks English"
Perhaps they speak two languages. Don't your children speak two languages?

"And without immigrant labour, wages would have to rise" ... (but not inflation)

Having now lived in Oldham for just under a year and a half, this is total bollocks.

Krishnan Guru Murphy interviewed him on channel 4 last night and asked the question of immigration . Farage stated there are too many people coming into the country and only skilled workers should be allowed in. KGM asked him the question of which industry and skill sets would he prevent coming in if he wanted to cut immigration, Farage didn’t have an answer and covered it up by saying there’s too many people coming into the country. What an absolute clown.

I half expect him to avoid some channels after the first day or so as they seem keen to ask awkward questions that he can't answer.

Instead he'll rely on making his rabble-rousing speeches while avoiding questions.

Interesting that the Times (assuming it's genuine) that he said in February "do I want to spend every Friday for five years in Clacton".

To be fair to Nigel Farage, I’ve been to Oldham several times and I can barely understand a word people say either.

It’s like talking to a load of inbred farmers from the 17th century.

You think a bloke who’s made a career off pushing ‘we don’t want foreigners coming into the country’ would be ahead of the curve on the thinking of skills required that benefit the economy for anyone applying to stay in the country. Specially if he wants to convince people to vote for him, I feel sorry the people of Clacton having this grifter representing them in Westminster. The damage of brexit will be hitting there like everywhere else with the whole country being poorer for it, you think they’d see through his circus and not give him a single vote but sadly I doubt it.

He's clearly just written some things down on a beermat as policies.

The idiocy of claiming that it was an emergency announcement should be obvious to anyone, but he's obviously going for the 'he's a bit of a laugh' vote.

The other candidates in Clacton will need the parties' support to get their share of airtime.
