No, he is very much left wing

He is but Rascal didn’t say he wasn’t.

A social democrat is in-between a centrist and a communist, a social democrat is left wing but not as far left wing as a communist.

In-between a social democrat and a communist is a democratic socialist.

No need to thank me, I’m here to help.

Why do you differentiate between the EU and the member states? Or is it a slip in language?

Because they are different.

We don't write to each member state to ask for an extension because member states have no unilateral power to grant one.

Only the EU via a decision made by all member states can grant an extension.

That is why Donald Tusk exists.

Yes, but May's approach patently didn't work did it. Something had to change and at least he has the cojones to do something about it.

It all hangs on what sort of deal he can do with Farage. If he gets Farage's backing - and this is the tricky part - whilst at the same time not alienating more moderate "leavers" - then he's home and dry and Corbyn et all can do what they like and they are still fucked.

But this is no easy task. Farage's openly stated "price" is "a clean break" from the EU and no withdrawal agreement. Can Boris and Farage find a middle ground?
How can he appease Farage. More important, Why would he appease Farage.
It's No deal or nothing. Any pretence that he wants anything else goes out the window when he climbs into bed with him.

Who does that genuinely suit over there? I find both side's logic in this not hard to follow, yet incredibly "confusing/hypocritical/jingoistic, add your own adjectives.
The place is a pantomime, but there are very real far reaching consequences no matter what you end up doing.

I find the whole mess incredible, but choosing a side is not an absolute in my mind. Sticking to your guns in every twist and turn just to be in the right is pure madness.
You're not getting out of this without compromise. Tearing the country asunder just to say you won. Get rid of both extremes, vote in a sensible(in short supply I know) majority and there is a deal to be made. But it won't suit everyone. You need to give enough to as many as possible to see it through.

Who are you two waffling about, I cannot be arsed looking back over the tens of pages since this morning.

Just passing the time in between Johnsons fuck ups mate.

His speech just now was sad, he sounds a broken man.

Initially you made it sound differently, that is why i asked if it was a slip of language. Now you have clarified it.

Pedantic maybe, but important if people read it wrong as it imitated that it was centrally controlled rather than by permission of the member states and it sounded like you saw them as seperate entities.

I am not arsed or anything, just wondered why.

That speech was excruciating to watch. He’s coming across worse and worse by the day.
