Corbyn has definitely not called it right on other things like terrorism where the policy of inaction will get innocent people killed.

What is the point in spending a ton on say defence if you come to get your enemy in the crosshairs but refuse to pull the trigger?

This is why Corbyn's position on defence is utterly pointless and hollow no matter how much he promises.
Corbyn's position on anything is utterly pointless and hollow since he has the square root of fuck all chance of ever actually governing. I am genuinely not sure he even wants to, to be honest. He's been a protestor all his life and I think winning the Labour leadership job was in itself a huge shock. I am sure he's 100% expecting to lose the GE and would be utterly flummoxed were he to actually have to DO anything rather than just protest all the time. We can see this is his inaction wherever and whenever there's a difficult policy decision to be made. He ALWAYS ducks the issue and sits on the fence: Forever if possible, for as long as he can if not. He can't lead his party, let alone a country.

Rees-Mogg is a truly vile, odious individual. Completely lacking in empathy, and out of his depth. Brexit has somehow elevated him into a senior role, but the mask is already starting to slip. Would love to see him unseated in the forthcoming election, although admittedly the chances are slim.

I'd love to know why he's an mp. What is in it for him?

In the early 70's we lived in a brand new council house. Father worked at engineering factory and Mother looked after 5 kids.
By the early 80's my Dads factory had been shut down and he became an insurance collector. My Ma worked 3 jobs.
Pretty standard for a great many in the north of England, Thatcher sold off all the industry that had strong unions and replaced what we manufactured with cheap imports . The rich hardly noticed the difference as Thatcher ensured they lost absolutely nothing .

Why are people still going on about lives lost during past communism reigns half way around the world?

Corbyn: I'd like to bring water back into public ownership.

Cabinet: Very well sir but we'll have to blow up Liverpool to equal the communism/death balance.
Possibly because the rhetoric started that right wing views are responsible for every evil on the planet, as the left also has it's fair share of horrors. It happened. Own it.

Or BOTH sides could just avoid this sort of lazy narrative that plagues these discussions and debate the policies each party is promising to deliver without resorting to using emotive language?
