Pretty standard for a great many in the north of England, Thatcher sold off all the industry that had strong unions and replaced what we manufactured with cheap imports . The rich hardly noticed the difference as Thatcher ensured they lost absolutely nothing .
It was almost 40 years ago!

Most of those imports now come from Europe and are more affordable for many people, unless you're suggesting... no!

Corbyn's position on anything is utterly pointless and hollow since he has the square root of fuck all chance of ever actually governing. I am genuinely not sure he even wants to, to be honest. He's been a protestor all his life and I think winning the Labour leadership job was in itself a huge shock. I am sure he's 100% expecting to lose the GE and would be utterly flummoxed were he to actually have to DO anything rather than just protest all the time. We can see this is his inaction wherever and whenever there's a difficult policy decision to be made. He ALWAYS ducks the issue and sits on the fence: Forever if possible, for as long as he can if not. He can't lead his party, let alone a country.
Instead of boring the arse off everyone with your Corbyn rants, have you anything to say on the Labour Party manifesto? (I know the 2019 one hasn't been published yet but we could use the 2017 one as an indication).

Are you a Labour supporter?
No. I have no party aligiences. I was brought up Labour, have voted majorily for Labour, but won't vote for them this time around.

But neither am I a Tory. Or a Lib Dem, or a brexiter or what ever other label people like to stick on people.

I'll vote for what I think is best for me, my community and others.

Since you've called me a moron already, I hope the mods will accept my return compliment.

I've answered already you moron.
No you didn't ...you dodged the question as do with quite a few I have noticed . Your " knowledge" appears to be whatever you have read in the express or heard on LBC ( gammon FM ) your cohorts on here seem to be similarly informed . When you begin to answer questions with honesty and actual facts you may cease to be called a moron ....you moron !!

I looked at that site& it told me to vote Labour if I wanted to keep the Tories out and stop Brexit. One problem though. It's a safe as houses Labour seat but the MP, Graham Stringer, is a hardline Eurosceptic who voted with the Tories on a number of occasions. He's also an outspoken and active climate change denier. And while I'd be happy with a Labour government I certainly won't be voting Labour while the antisemite Corbyn is its leader.
Interesting quote for you to reflect on from Rabbi Howard Cooper in the Jewish Chronicle:
' Jews are not threatened with organised violence [in UK]. If it comes,as it might, it will come from the populist right - who have no internal countervailing voices as the left do. We will then realise that we had our eyes on the wrong ball all along."

VINDICATION FOR CORBYN!!!

I'd love to know why he's an mp. What is in it for him?

Personal interests and interests for his family and peers outside of parliament probably.

He probably does believe his way of thinking is the best way for the UK and he will believe that if he was in charge, things would be better but what his better looks like is those he knows and those he’s used to, becoming wealthier and better off.

He’s just so far removed from the reality of what it’s like to be an ordinary person, he doesn’t give a shit.
