What is "the other place" and why are people banned. Pm please if its like voldemort/fight club and you cant talk about it.

Didn't he also sell the gold reserves for £2.50 and a George forman grill?

Terrible that - even worse was it mandating of PFI to hide the real amount of debt - locking us into long-term contracts and thereby reducing where savings could be made - and thereby forcing cuts in services

weren't PFI deals an Tory idea from the Major Govt? still a bad idea and disgracefully pursued by "New" Labour.... as if accounting for things "off line" magically doesn't to continue to impact the bottom line....................... then again Brown ABOLISHED boom and bust didn't he? Why didn't he tell Goldman Sachs and the like...........?

It was Brown that fully embraced the use of PFI and essentially mandated its use across government departments. Absolutely the intention was whilst committing to so much spending, it was kept 'off balance sheet'. When the next Tory government came in not only was the amount of actual debt massively understated because of this, it meant that large parts of each department's budget could not be touched as there were obligations in place to pay large contracts taken out over many years and sometimes decades.

His desperation to make use of PFI meant that he had the Treasury draw up guidelines for PFI contracts the terms of which so grossly favoured the private sector companies - they even got compensation if they failed to deliver.

Most people on the "other place" are banned on here. Even if they weren't, why would they bother coming on here to vote in some meaningless poll.

Get over yourself, this place isn't that important in most people's lives
Banned posters have certainly never come back to this site ever in other guises.

Can you come up with a reason 11 votes went in for Labour in a 30 min period?

Truth is, everyone isn't voting for the 'I'm never right' party.
My biggest ever thread was the one having a go at fans for not showing up. I was slated for it.

Look what happened we are now a laughing stock in the media for empty seats.

Never right my arse.
