My biggest ever thread was the one having a go at fans for not showing up. I was slated for it.

Look what happened we are now a laughing stock in the media for empty seats.

Never right my arse.
They slate us for empty seats when we've sold out though.

I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with how the vote is going.

Not the SNP vote, as it's hardly going to get much above what it is for obvious reasons, but Labour.

Still ages to go obviously, but, even with the problems in the Labour Party and they are many, the possibility of continuos right wing Tory rule is not as popular as some on here thought.

I think wider in the country, there is a growing feeling that stopping the Tories is above party allegiance also. That tactical voting will play a pivotal role in this, what I think will be a momentous election in the history of these islands.

I may be wrong, it won't be the first time, but I genuinely feel people will vote to unseat Tories in any way available.

A vote for labour in safe Tory seats is a wasted vote, if the libdums can take it with labour votes then that for me needs to be done.

Mayday Mayday, might just be shouting that, if people use their vote to get rid of her party and reduce the majority further, rather than increase it for her blank cheque Brexit.

If that happens can she survive?

Anybody who thinks this is a cakewalk will be in for a horrible shock, hopefully.

There are plenty of seats where a tactical vote could change the very government.

We who oppose Tory rule, regardless of party allegiance, 63% at the last election, need to think and vote smart.

If we do that then wheels will come off Maydays cart.

That would make my day.

Labour's policies on Brexit now involve priority to the single market, customs union, and guarantees that EU citizens
will be given full rights here. This is to be implemented, upon election, without assurances from the EU for British citizens in their countries.
So, in a nutshell, no acceptance of the referendum result, and in the EU, despite all the reasons we voted out, and basically
confirming that foreigners here get rights, but British citizens there can whistle.
And they wonder why they're massively behind in the polls.

Do u get this feeling that the fat cats or the big establishment of this world today just don't want corbyn and are doing everything possible to cast him out of labour. They're all scared by looks of it. Never have voted but this time round i will definitely make an exception for Corbyn. He's a victim of bullying in the world of politics. He means no harm. And i for one vote based on Syria has nothing to do with us. Bring our boys back n stop interfering in other people's wars. So whoever is for that... I'm down with. Enough is enough.

The establishment, like much of the electorate, are probably of the same mind here - they don't want a ravin' fuckin' loony in power. I'm desperate to vote on at least one occasion for the MRLP but God forbid all you other buggers did and got them into Downing Street!

Terrible that - even worse was it mandating of PFI to hide the real amount of debt - locking us into long-term contracts and thereby reducing where savings could be made - and thereby forcing cuts in services
You Tories do love living in the past, blaming all our ills on previous Labour governments even when you've been in power for seven years.
Here's some other historical facts - who is the the only party to have raised VAT since 1978? Answer the Tories from 8% to 20% in 1979, 1991 and 2011.
In 1964 the outgoing Tory Chancellor Reginald Maudling left a note to his successor Jim Callaghan on the economy which said " Good luck old cock.....sorry to leave it in such a mess".
Absolutely nothing to do with this election, but about as relevant to it as your post.

I was answering directly a point made in a previous post, which itself followed on from the topic on previous pages of posts leading up to it - the topic was about difficulties in addressing the debt/deficit. So my post was not only entirely relevant - it was entirely accurate.

Your post on the other hand defines well what irrelevance and distraction is..........

Did the accuracy of my post and impact of the fact I stated touch a nerve????????

P.s. "You Tories do love living in the past....."

I have previously pointed out that I have voted Labour more times than Conservative - I am just not so wedded to the past that I am unable to think for myself at any given point in time.
