This notion that the so called rich should pay more tax; in this case, Labours plan to increase the income tax rate of those earning over £80,000 is bulls**t. Basic mathematics shows that the rich already pay more tax by virtue of the fact that 20% (basic rate of income tax) of £40,000 is twice as much as 20% of £20,000.
How else you gonna pay for the NHS, social care, police, schools, other public services?
Trickle down benefits from a 'strong' economy to pay for public services is not working.
Reversing the cuts in inheritance tax and capital gains tax ( which only benefit the wealthy) will also help.

Firstly, stop dis incentivising people by taxing them more for doing well. Then concentrate on ensuring individuals and companies pay the taxes they are due. As for the NHS; we have to ensure foreign nationals pay for its services, and also cut waste such as crap IT systems that don't work.

Once tax rises to the extent proposed by idiots like Corbyn, ie, paying the government more than you're getting,
the tax take always drops as a result, yet the envy crew just never get it.
I remember Labour introducing a top tax rate of 83%, plus 15% on anything in the bank, the damage to the exchequer
was colossal, investment collapsed and the tax take plummeted.
I remember the Tories denying they'd double VAT. It went from 8% to 15%. Labour reduced it, tories have put it up, and it will go up again if they win.

Apart from being harder to avoid VAT, why increase regressive taxes?

Same with abolition of the domestic rates. Rich Tories with several houses (and Russian oligarchs now) saved huge amounts. Poll tax saw off Thatcher but council tax is still ridiculously low if you live in a mansion.

From NHS providers, arguing for staff pay increases to stem staff losses to better paid jobs (in supermarkets!):

“At the same time, trusts are reporting that the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, and the failure to reassure EU nationals about their long-term future, mean that vital recruitment from EU countries is dropping rapidly."

And the Tories are going to continue their manifesto "commitment" (i.e. false promise) to cut net migration to the tens of thousands.

But VAT pisses on the chips of the poor, so obviously it is where this government will want to go. Empty bedroom and on some benefits? Think we will take a bit of that. 10 bedroom house, in London, occupied 20 days a year? As you were........

Oh, you cynic. :-)
The UK is desperate to have a 'free trade' deal with India, unsurprisingly, but a major sticking point already is migration. Hard to see how deals can be cut with countries in the modern world that preclude higher levels of migration.

The foreign nationals cost to the NHS is about 0.fcuk all of it's budget, waste on IT systems likewise.By all means take action in these areas but is that your solution to solving the NHS crisis?
"Concentrate on individuals and companies pay the taxes they are due". Yeah, well every government says that and nothing changes and this lot have been in power now for seven years without doing much at all other than sounding tough.
So I'll ask you again, how you gonna pay for the NHS,social care, policing, schools public services etc etc without considering increases in taxation OR making people pay more for them ( now there's the rub).?

If The torkip party get in this time. The NHS is dead. That means our parents will be dead, out kids will be dead. The most disadvantaged people will be pushed off a cliff.

If you watch nothing else and send it on to your friends watch this. It is heart breaking and a vision of what is coming our way.

There is NOTHING more important in life than the health of our kids, our parents our friends. Nothing.

Anyone intent on voting torkip because it somehow makes you look like a striver, an achiever.... If you think voting torkip makes you one of them, part of their selective club.... Please please please think again. I say it again.

PLEASE WATCH, EVEN IF YOU HATE CORBYN AND ALL HE STANDS FOR.....

PLEASE WATCH.

95% of the population won't be affected by this proposed tax on people earning 80 grand of more.

So the headline should be no tax rises for 95% of th epopulation guarenteed under labour.

I know nobody who earns that much anyway, the highest paid person I know earns just short of 43 grand, never knew BM had so many execs and millionaires on it that they all seem to be getting their knickers in a twist over nothing.

the over 80's will get free child allowance and VAT will be applied to gobstoppers ;)
