How can anyone write a letter like that and yet describe themselves as "not a very party political animal"? :-)

It plays to the Tory view that they're not political, it's just common sense.

it's the banality and casual nature of their selfishness that makes my skin crawl.

There's a reason they're called the stupid party.

That's got to be flirting with the CoC

And I think it's only you that calls the Tories as such.

I've just noticed McDonnell is promising to cut VAT now as well.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

By the end of this evening, he will perhaps have promised to abolish all taxation on anyone earning less than £80k, and have no VAT at all.

The man's a genius, I tell you, a genius.

VAT hits the poorest in our society, it's the one tax any progressive party should cut.

Will you give it a fucking rest. Jesus you are getting REALLY fucking annoying.

I might go on and on and on and bore some people to tears, but you will notice (a) I am critical of the Tories too and (b) I criticise Labour's *policies*.

All you do all fucking day is bang on about how evil the Tories are, or some other insult. GROW UP.

On the Daily Politics earlier, two polling agency representatives predicted both a comfortable Conservative majority and No Overall Majority. The Telegraph is now predicting a 100 seat majority for the Conservatives. Psephology remains an impenetrable science to me.

“I did not mean that Conservatives are generally stupid; I meant, that stupid persons are generally Conservative. I believe that to be so obvious and undeniable a fact that I hardly think any hon. Gentleman will question it."
