add in the UKIP and SNP vote share last election and it shows starkly that the system is an utter nonsense. How many people look at the greens or the lib dems and think fuck that they can't win. Plenty of people will vote for a party that they dont even like. But while the big 2 get enough MP's to make life very comfortable for themselves they ain't rocking the money train.
Nonsense is putting it mildly. It's fucking outrageous, that's what it is.

One bloke in work told me today that if the Tories win we'll see For Sale signs outside A&E departments. Couldn't be arsed talking about PFI with him.

You think MPs motivation is to represent the best interests of their constituents? How quaint.
Well if we didn't have that, London has even more say in how the country is run because they have the biggest population. London could be living in dreamland whilst we're all starving up here, but their vote would put a Govt in power that may give London everything it wants and not do anything about northern issues.

That doesn't alter the fact that nearly all MPs mainly vote according to their party whip, not what's in the best interests of their constituents.

SNP 1.5m votes 59 MP's
UKIP 3.8m votes 1 MP
But that is a healthy way to spread wealth across the breadth of the country. UKIP (as an example regardless of their policies) might not give a toss about Scotland - they could cripple Scottish economy with the policies they brought in (if in power)/voted for.

If you flip those figures around - does Scotland deserve 1 seat for their whole country because they have one of the smallest populations? Consider what their economy brings to the country - if there is only 1 person representing such a huge economy it could very quickly begin to decline (ignore Scottish parliament in this example).

Social care? What the propose is far less damaging than it is now for most people.

And the economy is in good shape, as well you know.

You really think security would be better under the leadership of a man that voted against anti-terror bill for the last 30 years?
fuck me swp, it was May's job to sort security. Her fucking job, what she got paid for, had power with and could have made a difference for the last 6 years. What the fuck has she done to make us all feel more secure ? Go on tell me. Her fucking job.
