General Predictions - 2023/24

I think we'll start the season really badly due to our preseason starting late, a hangover from last season and the interruption of the euro supercup and World club Cup, but Pep will see us do our usual and go into overdrive from January . We will have to put up endless giddy gibes and goading from all and sundry while we go through our extended bad patch but we will shut everyone up come May.

Oh yeah, and Liverpool will start to finally accept that another league title is a distant ship smoke on the horizon (thanks floyd).
 
I actually think we might start off slow this season as a hangover from last season and as a result find ourselves with too much to do come the business end of the season. Conversly I think we'll win the CL as the pressure is off. The QF and SF won't have as much importance as previous years and we'll make it 2 in a row
 
Utd - probably fighting for the title. tanhag seems to know what he';s doing, not sure the team are right though, lot of lazy mercenary twats in that team.
lfc - Looking good, though I expect them to take this next season to get up to speed like when Klopp joined them.
Chelsea - They need a season to get Poch up to speed
Spurs - LOL
Arsenal - We're all expecting them to fail, so maybe they will be contenders.
 
My belief is that we battle for the league with Arsenal again, and 3 or less points separate us at the end (both teams on 85-91 pts). Wouldn't be surprised if either team takes it. Then Pool is a step below but finish 3rd. Roughly 7-12 points back. I see rags grabbing 4th but that ones up for grabs.

I expect Palace to finish around Brentford mid table (9-11th).
 
Rags to get giddy early doors, turn a corner, shhhh don’t say it, defeat at Brentford then downhill quick enough to qualify for the Super Slalom in the Winter Olympics.

TBF they have one of the best defenses/goalkeeper in the league, Tonali and Bruno in midfield, Isak, Wilson up front. They'll be up there and might even challenge you guys for top 4.
 
7 trophies is our aim. A clean sweep and more game time for Rico, Cole, James Macatee, Tommy Doyle and the other youngsters. Haaland to break the 63 goal record, Alvarez to get 25 goals, Kovacic to be the signing of the season, Ederson to win the golden glove. Pep to win manager of the season, blues to win fans of the season.
 
I predict a transition season is looking more and more likely .. which I will be comfortable with after winning the treble

Not a problem cleaning house - but they have exactly the same length of time left as us, they've managed to bring in Ashley Young on a free!
Everton are missing quality all over the pitch, imo, and having skated the last couple of seasons it could well be their time

We seem to always have a short and late preseason lately.

All they need now is a new chairman, a proper DoF, and for the owner not to meddle in team affairs, oh and £250m. Might make 17th.

I agree with that, those two will be difference makers for years to come.

I'd luv for us to win the league 4 times running and stand alone in English history, but my gut feeling at the moment is that we will finish 2nd or 3rd.

I do think though that we'll win the Super Cup, World Club Championship and repeat in the Champions League.
 
City have to be right in the mix in late February.

Up to then it’ll probably be a bit mixed with a little hangover from last season and new players settling in.

The new players and academy lads however will be so important to establish a new motivation,vitality and freshness to the squad.

Softly softly catchee monkee.

Rags eighth at best.
