Continued to be a solid performer for RC Lens since he moved from Udinese. Has been the captain this season and been given greater license to arrive in the box so has scored more as a result. The French media have so far linked him with the North London clubs, Villa, and Newcastle, so we may yet see him back at the Etihad. Phenomenally strong player and a real powerhouse on the pitch, which means we’ll invariably hear comparisons with Yaya Toure.Remember watching him play for Bastia and Fulham while on loan.

Yes, he’s taken on more of the defensive duties and that has freed Fofana to play a little further forward. Wonder if maybe Vieira might be tempted to go for them as a pair; he’s losing Gallagher and needs energy in there anyway.Doucoure his midfield partner is mint as well
