General transfer rumours

A big IF Messi becomes available every top club in Europe will be after him. It would be good to have him on the bench to replace Serge. :-)
 
The Messi story is interesting if only because of the presidential election.

If he really is pissed off with the current regime and there is no change then who knows?

Forget Pogba, he'd be the ultimate statement signing, totally different level.

Wonder how the British media would react?

if it did happen and we got him for 80 mill we would have paid to much for him according to all city hating media

Someone mentioned Bale to United to me (by the end of this month), not sure if that would class as them showing they are the biggest club in the world (which is bollox anyway). I wouldn't like them to get him though.

LOL. Wouldn't they HAVE to change their stance though?

Over half the under 10s in England would suddenly be getting their parents to buy them City shirts
with Messi's name and number on for Christmas.

I always remember how John McEnroe changed from the devil incarnate to loveable rogue after
he won Wimbledon. The media are nothing if not fickle.
