General transfer rumours

£20m would make him the second most expensive goal keeper in the world after Buffon. GK's are much cheaper in comparison to players in other positions.
As much as I'd love Buffon to to hold that record forever, inflation and the money burning holes in pockets the world over means that's unlikely.

If Everton do want him, they can just hand back all the money we paid for Stones, a decade of service in them both.

So Joe Hart will cost less than Wilfried Bony?!

You cannot make that comparison due to the positions they play in - Manuel Neuer went for £19m, De Gea £18m - are they worth less than Bony as well? The market is totally different for GK's.

No chance we would get anything close to £30m for an out of favour player - its very obvious on a public level that if we sign Bravo, we no longer want Joe. Everton aren't then going to come in and offer that kind of money for a player we don't even want. We'll do well to get around the £20m mark - his wages will be a huge problem as well, as no top club that could afford 120k a week need him, so that will be reflected in the price.

Everton may not pay that kind of wage, but their candle lighting brothers may. Harts certainly an upgrade on mignolet

They signed Karius in this window - injured at the moment, but I'm sure he'll take the no.1 spot soon.
More than likely right, just wouldn't underestimate how many interests were peaked when the England number one was put in the window. He may not be valued by Pep, but other top clubs will. He's a tremendous keeper when alls been said.

Sagna: "We had a short training session at 11 just to make sure we had woken up. It is not a bad idea compared to staying in your room."
Sagna 's comments don't deserve to be lost in the middle of the thread.

If any team wants Hart, it is likely for first choice keeper? If they are on the lookout for 1st choice keeper, they hv to pay up, our situation wouldnt matter as much. 1st choice keepers are very rarely available in the market. But again, with our wages, will Hart accept a wage-cut? Probably, as game time is more important.
