I understand your argument; we have the best manager, the best team, so it is ok. No, I don't think it ok. We made huge mistakes, especially in the cases of Mangala and Bony, we paid them huge salaries, and now we need to correct our mistake. My intention is not to criticize the past, but the fact that we have repeatedly done these types of mistakes many times, which indicate that we are not learning from our mistakes. To have a wealthy owner does not mean to be negligent in your bookkeeping and to continue to pay ridiculous wages for average players. For our business model to be successful, we need to develop appropriate methods to avoid the same in the future.
You don't understand my argument. To get the best manager and to get into the elite of world football we needed to make certain moves. Our very first purchase was a horrible one. Would you call Robinho a mistake though? NO WAY. Our business model IS successful because we top loaded our investment and made some necessary if not financially wise moves to get to where we can become more financially prudent. Its not that we aren't learning from our mistakes. Its that we needed to progress so rapidly that mistakes were part of the equation. Now that we have achieved our mid-term goals (established top tier team, regular CL, compete for the title every year, have the best youth set up in the world, have the best manager in the world...etc...) we will see the business side sorted. We won't be paying players to leave in 2 years. This period was necessary and is closing.
