General transfer rumours

If you spent some time actually watching his movement then you would understand.

Nobody is doubting Erl’s record as goalscorer. He is one of the best there has been.

We would however done better with Isak in the team. His movement, pressing and abilty to turn in tight spaces.

Problem why we are getting mauled by the big teams is we are carrying too many players many players.

We are carrying Erl and Sav in the pressing

We are carrying Gundo and Silva in transitions

We are carrying Dias and Akanjii in the buil up play

Wow. Ok. I have never been impressed by him. He was decent at Newcastle. Didn’t wow me. He looks like a strong wind will make him crumble
Yeah a skinny lad for sure but he has got great ability and is stronger than people think.

I just believe he would be perfect fit for us. He will never be the same level goalscorer as Erl but he brings so much more to his game.

You said “I’d swap him in a heart for Erl”. Thats not just weird it’s really fucking weird, but having seen your other posts it isn’t at all surprising. As you were

Some people might not be happy with your posts. Even though you ain’t wrong.

Yes for our team as I think his movement and pressing is better. He suits us better. Erl would be even better for a team like Real, Red Scouse etc

The same applies to Mbappe but to an even greater extent. He makes teams worse due to this look at what has happened at PSG and Real.

We are carrying too many players that are not agile and mobile enough in the press.

Isak is not a better goalscorer but a better player.
IMO Haaland has gone backwards in terms of movement because of Pep's failed tactics over the past season or more.

When he came first he was constantly moving and being found. Now he seems to be a targetman in positions that are near impossible to score from.

IMO the talk of us needing a proper no9 led us into thinking that we needed a static no9 to just bang in the chances created but imo that lessened the chances created because there is less space and opportunity.

IMO our greatest threats should be incredibly hard to defend against because they are there one minute and gone the next and can score from anywhere.

I'd ditch the idea of a no9 and play Haaland in a free role. Let him go wherever he wants whenever he wants. I think the structure of our tactics is choking him and would any other striker.

(As per most of my posts recently I am basically saying that Pep needs to buck up our tactics)

I think this a good take of it. Maybe I am over critical of Haaland and this could also solve the problem.

I really rate his ability it is just about if we can use that to best potential or we can find other solutions that are better for us.

just how do you know he's carrying out peps instructions or just cant be arsed anymore because won it all

Haaland hasn’t gone backwards. He’s just had his runs ignored time and time again his movement is still the same. Kev and Haaland had brilliant chemistry. It’s why they were so dangerous together.

Other midfielders don’t have that with him. Bright spark is Cherki seems too. Just from snippets from the club World Cup, Cherki already knows Haalands runs and how to play with him. Always looks for him

From Cherki quotes he wants to play to Haaland and supply him with assists.

Read that again you patronising prick. You don’t have a clue what I spend time doing. In fact let me shorten that sentence, you don’t have a clue
Not being patronising, that was never the intention.

You made a neagtive commemt about my opinion not the other way around. You are continuing in this vain with this post.

I simply stated that watching him in these games would give you a different opinion. A lot of people in the UK did not watch his la liga games as they flew under the radar due to his team not being one of the big clubs.

Isak is a better footballer in my opinion. He is a better system player and therefore I think he would be better for us.

Ok Seiko.

It is incredible what a player having a stormer over a third of a season and then being linked with Liverpool does to people!

Read again - you said if I spent some time watching his movement, thereby inferring in a patronising manner that I didn’t. So my point stands, you are a patronising prick. As regards watching movement of one of the 2 players you mentioned (Haaland) I go to every City game (apart from some of the European aways) so I have a proper view of his overall play. You on the other hand watch on your tv in your bedroom at mummy and daddy’s, whilst also typing shit. As you were. And just for completeness Haaland is a hugely better all round striker than Isak, as all the stats prove, but I agree Isak was a very good, Haaland is just so much better.

I think the evidence of Pep's tactics is a lot more obvious than the idea that players have given up. And if they have given up then it's still up to the manager to find a way to motivate them.

Pep deserves huge respect and thanks for changing how football is played and winning us a lot. Will he find a way to make us click again though? I hope so but I'm not too confident.

At the end of the day I want us to play exciting stuff. I always have. Even when we were way down the table. Even under Reid or Clarke or Hughes or some of the other more mundane managers. Results are important but style of play and excitement and positivity are too and we were missing a lot of those last year. I want them back with Pep or with someone else.

Bit too old to watch from my daddy and mummys house. :-)

Yes I agree watching in the stands gives you fuller perspective. I don’t go to enough City matches these days. Living abroad and change of family situation has limited that.

I do have a lot of access to professional insights through tools and people working within football.I have watched these guys play live both of them many times from a young age. I work in business closely associated with Scandinavian football. So I sit on information analytics that is not available to average City fan. You can chose to ignore that or thing it adds no value that is fine. It also great that you have different opinion about this matter. As that is what forums are about.

I hope you are right that Håland makes a fool of my opinion this season. Red scouse signs Isak amd he bombs. Based on my current perspective I think we would have been more lethal and complete as a team with Isak. He would have been outstanding with Omar as well.

Really looking forward to seeing these 2 next season Really hope it works out

Isak agrees personal terms with Al Hilal. Are they not owned by the people that own Newcastle?
