I always thought the same re Cyborg, but i read somewhere that she's one of, if not the most tested athletes in MMA. She also comes across as really humble, even when she got KTFO'd she took the defeat quite well, unlike someone like Rousey. IMO she has won over a lot of fans.

Nunes did a really good job but a lot of the punches were wild, i personally thought she lost both her fights against Valentina and i think she'd lose a rematch too.

I was pretty knackered at the time and was watching a non English stream so didn't have commentary, but i personally thought that Gus wasn't doing that badly against Jones. He was pushing the pace and controlling where the fight took place, he stopped all the takedown attempts barring the fight ending one and i think if he was a bit clever and mixed in a couple takedown attempts of his own then he could have won that fight. I was pretty surprised then to see everyone saying he was getting out thought in the fight. I also hear that DC is more excited for another fight with Jones as he see's him slowing down, it would be a really bad idea for him to come down in weight and i think he'd get fucked up again. If i was him i'd stick it out in HW and then there's a potential mega-fight for Jones to take both belts, but at a weight where DC hits much harder and isn't affected by weight cutting. The dream fight IMO is Jones vs a fully fit Cain.

Don't get me wrong, I respect Cris Cyborg's humility outside the ring, but I have always seen her as a 'flat track bully' and thought it just needed one person to bite down on their mouthpiece and bang. I don't think I believed in Nunes' ability to be that person having seen her wobbled before (as I have Cyborg).

I was pretty neutral about the fight for Nunes, but when I saw her bang in that triple combo of shin, straight, hook, I sat up! She was just too quick and I just knew Cyborg would get beat.

Not as quick that, mind!!

She finished Rousey in 49 secs and Cyborg in 5-fookin'-1 secs!! As stand and bangs go, that's amazing!

I, wholeheartedly, agree bout my girl Valentina Shev re: Nunes. Thought she was robbed. However, I can see a super coming with VS going up to take on AN. I think VS is just too technical for Nunes, I really do!


As for JJ and AG, it was wholly disappointing. Alex G was merely mirroring Jones' fight style and it just bored me. I mean, how on earth do you expect to beat a fighter at his own game...??

JJ ain't going up to heavyweight any time soon, especially as Ngannou fights Velasquez next month. He'll wait until another Andre Arlovski/ Tim Sylvia comes into the mix or, quite possibly, if Cormier is still surviving come the end of the year.

That's my belief, anyway!

How mad is it that we're actually talking about top class women fighters? Never would believed that a few years ago. Imo Valentina is technically the best women's fighter in MMA, she should be s multiple weight champ but then she should be stripped of those said titles for that horrid dance [emoji23]

There's just not much for Jones in the lhw division imo, other than DC who is there that could legitimately have a chance of beating him? Plus he's so tall he would be able to make a heavyweight limit easy with the right weight training and diet. I'd even like to see him line up against blaydes.

Fairly certain it's a traditional dance either in Russia or Peru. Without sexualising her, there are vids of her in YouTube on a Peruvian show twerking and all sorts. Her sisters hotter though imo

When it is a pretty lass my first thought is "ffs if that beast thing she is fighting hits her in the face i am going to go all Bruce Banner on her" Then i remember they would probably go all Hulk on me instead so i just meekly mumble something about wanting the pretty one to win.

It was a total mismatch too, as have been most of Cyborgs fights. I suppose that's why everyone is so happy she lost and IMO it will be the same when Jon Jones loses. All his opponents have looked like kids when they come against him, i can't think of one LHW fighter that has any chance against him?
