Read up on the background cupcake. These are serious fighting men who’ve taken shit for weeks and weeks from Conor and his team. This builds up inside and after maintaining their focus until the job was done the anger explodes and it was time to confront those who thought they could insult a mans family and religion without any consequences.

You might think their behaviour is Neanderthal, I think they’re men of honour

In the octagon, I’d agree. But your post fight comments are waaaay out of line, as everyone else in the world appears to agree with.

There is bad blood everywhere in sports, but that doesn’t mean we lose our minds over it. What would you be saying if the sucker punch from behind had killed McGregor, or fractured his skull? Just desserts??

Believe it or not, it isn’t Thunderdome. You might like “street justice,” but there is no excuse. None..

Fighting men like these guys know about honour. I think it’s quite instructive that Conor decided not to press charges. He knows that saying what he says brings consequences and fairplay to him for accepting those consequences like the warrior he is.

It brings consequences, but they have to be reserved for the field of play...on the mat. He gassed and got done. That’s two in a row, after a beating in the square circle. His gravy train looks to be ending, but while the histrionics bring in the PPV and purse, 5en everyone has been fine. These Russians appear think they are bare knuckling on a farm in Siberia, not in front of the world in Vegas’s, with millions on the line.

If you can’t handle the difference, then it’s not for you.

McGregor like many in combat sports before him and after will talk shit because it sells.

He could handle the difference. Kept his cool sensationally well when he needed to. And when he didn’t need to he and his team sought payback.

If team Khabib did this every time I’d agree they were in the wrong but this was an isolated example and the recipient was a guy who’s built his fortune as much on his beyond the pale trash talking as on his wonderful fighting abilities.

These guys think differently to you and me, they don’t seek justice in the courts or in fines from governing bodies, they seek it man to man and if in their eyes a man has offended their honour there are repercussions

UFC already said the two stablemates are out of UFC, so it will be interesting to see what happens to his $2M purse. McGregor already had his $3M released. Surprised it was so little, tbh.

No problem, take the rematch to Dagestan, see how brave Danis is over there.

I think you’d also see a more restrained approach from Conor at any Dagestan based weigh ins and pressers thus avoiding the need for retribution.

That 'illegal move' you keep spouting is called a 'face crank'. It's down to positioning and if you can get a choke hold or not. Face crank is the next best option.

Agreed, but this reminds me of the Diaz fight where McGregor had to taste the measure of the opponent, before eking out the win on a rematch. McGregor held his head too high in that match, too and got clocked.

Same exact thing, but now he knows KN can't knock him out.

Well I don't profess to be an expert on this, unlike you, who seems to be an expert on pretty much everything. But the on-screen graphic called it a neck crank, and a quick visit to wikipedia highlights it as illegal...but you know best.
