It's a minor thing that Jones has adjust cos next time another ref may not be so forgiving as Murgoliotta. Not sure whether Jones feels he is 'invincible' at times, but Glover T, on another night, would have caught him with a wild haymaker and claimed the title. That was my one fear for this latest title bout.

As for Gustaffson? I think he had his chance.

Jones will change up again, instead of engaging with him, and the challenger will be defeated easier next time.

Not sure who is on the horizon to challenge Jones unless a random event like 'Big Country' gets granted a shot!!

Right now, only big hitters have the odd chance cos Jones is way of everyone else in the game... in the UFC...

I disagree Gus May have exposed Jones biggest weakness, which is also his biggest strength, reach. Most of his dominating wins have been due to out reaching his opponents, I think Gus gave us a glimpse of Jones at heavyweight. It's a competitive fight which is why Jones wanted Gus to fight Cormier. I'd love to see Cormier maul Jones which I think is a realistic proposition, with his superior wrestling. On another note, is Gareht A Davies still on Bt? I can't watch with him on he's just a prat.

Wait... Didn't Jones nullify the whole 'reach' aspect by trading in close quarters with Teixeira and coming out the winner(obviously!)? Gustaffson is a volume puncher, but not a big hitter, per se.

As for Cormier, he's a quicker Teixeira, sure, but the wrestling isn't too far from GT, either.

Jones will cut him up with his elbows in close combat and/ or give him a KO to the head with kicks.

DC's game ain't all that.

Cormier is a beast, he has solid wrestling good hands if he needs to use them, and wins over Barnett and Bigfoot. Plus he trains with possibly the fittest most intense guy in the sport. He's also mentally strong and wants a piece of Jones bad, could be a rough night for Jones that.[/quote]

Whilst all of that might be true, I submit that Cormier is easier to find a sparring partner to mimic and train against than it would be to find a mimic for Jones. Cos, let's face it, Barnett and Silva are one dimensional fighters.

Just got in. Two cards on one night.

UFC Fight Night Berlin is live right now on BT Sports 2. Main Event due to start in 10 minutes.

UFC Fight Night Brazil is live tonight on BT Sports 1.

Possibly the worst UFC event to date.

Other than the main event those fights were poor.

Can't wait for fight night in Dublin, and hometown hero Conor McGregor headlines it!

Agreed. In trying to expand around the world their cards are being watered down.

Dublin will be insane!!

Desperate call here, but is anyone here a fight club member and happen to have a pass for ufc's fan event in Dublin tomorrow?

Desperate to get a ticket and not a bloody sniff of one!

It sold out in 3 minutes everything. Madness should be there this weekend. Connor McGregor was on tv3 this morning nearly a 20 odd minute interview with him and another fighter can't remember his name not Nearly Pendred I think it was. They were bigging up tv3 or 3e having the rights to the fight. Also they will be doing a preview show before the fights start. Good that Irish TV is getting behind Connor. The demand was so big they could of filled the Aviva stadium or Croke Park.

I know I just hope its not another 5 year wait for another UFC event to be held here. Missed out on both and its the biggest kick to the balls. Instead of going to the UFC I will have to make do with the Iveagh Gardens next weekend to go to the comedy festival instead.

it's a shame when ufc comes to London and Manchester the cities don't give a fuck. I remember watching randy at evening news and thinking how honoured I felt but nobody in the city gave a shit.

So pumped for this event. Known about mcgregor just before his first fight in the ufc I caught him on the MMA hour and thought will watch the prelims to see if this guy fights as well as he talks.
Dunno who i'm rooting for though as I like diago too nasty little shit he is.
On another note took my first mma class /lesson this week was fun though think i'm a bit old for it though judging by the ache.

Who's watching? Should be a cackling main event both clearly have a screw loose! BT Sports presentation gets me angry, grrrr!

My mates training partner is fighting tonight, going to be a cracker!

Good stuff so far. Who's watching on BT Sport 2? Not the best presentation.

I'm watching on fightpass as you don't get Gareth Davis waffling on.

I am mate, the chick doesn't know what she's talking about, and GA, how did he get his job? It really stinks of toff boy getting a favor from friends in high places. That Ben Blackmore fella too, Christ! I only got BT for the UFC and I'm considering cancelling.

Apparently BT Sports aren't even showing the post fight interviews.
