Played call of duty last night, took about 2 hours to play 3 games because the whole thing is so slow at finding matches.

It’s fair to say that the servers are not coping too well right now!

GT Sport on the other hand is fucking amazing!

Anybody getting the Xbox One X - been thinking about it but is it worth it if you don't have a 4k TV?

Nope not yet mate, save your money until you need to get a new TV and then get both, will probably be cheaper then and maybe PS5 will be out.

Been messing around on the Sea of Thieves Alpha over the weekend. It looks and sounds stunning. A few gripes but it is early days yet. Promising.

I have played about 8 hours since last weekend, too early to form a solid opinion but I’m enjoying it so far... always do though bought every year since its beginning!

Few big changes this year, the health and fitness has changed and probably got a bit more realistic! It gives you a report on likelyhood if injuries and as you would expect the more games played the higher the risk of injury for players and they seem to get injured more in this game. When I randomised a game and got villa and they have 8 games in 3 weeks there isn’t the luxury of rotating all the players and the older players end up injured!! Be interesting to see how that feature develops.
The squad harmony is new, so you have a hierarchy of your players based on influence in the dressing room, so you can pick the leaders in the squad and speak to them and influence the others.
So far so good really, will take time to get familiar with everything I imagine!! They haven’t changed the press conferences really which is a let down, was hoping they would!!

Completely for moot about this! Is it good?

Yeah, not bad. Early alpha, won't be out until next year, so not a hell of a lot to do, but there are islands, wrecks to explore, chests to be dug up, skeletons to kill, boats to sail, grog to be drunk and you can shoot yourself out of a canon.

It looks great, there's storms, high seas etc etc.

Fingers crossed it turns into a great game because the basics are there.

Microsoft really needs this and Crackdown 3 to be good. There is an aching lack of decent exclusives on the Xbox One - in fact, just a lack of exclusives in general! Mine's just been gathering dust since I bought it - I've played Halo 5 and Gears of War 4 and that's about it. PS4 is way ahead I think, which itself is a damning indictment of Xbox One given how poor this generation has been so far.

Completely agree, i've always been Xbox and always will be for multplayer games, however I have bought a ps4 too because of the exclusives:

Unchartered Saga
Horizon Zero Dawn
The Last of Us
Until Dawn
Days Gone (Coming Soon)
Spiderman (I think this is exclusive)

Playstation are miles ahead in single player story games, and I can't see xbox ever catching up as they seem more Media Centre than gaming console in comparison to Playstation.
