General Videogame Thread

Thanks for the heads up, I now have this in my library but cannot work out how to start the game to confirm the download?...any ideas?
Once it's in your library you can download it whenever you want. The titles in you library should either say launch or install. If they are grayed out you need to download if it has colour just launch and play.

Put together this video review for a games site, and even though I've never played a flight simulator, I really want to give this a go. Looks absolutely *beautiful*...

I've been watching loads of FS20 videos on youtube, it really does look great. I would never buy it, because the rig I'd need and it's not really a 'game', but it does look like a sensational piece of development

Seeing how it goes on my PC tomorrow, then thinking about a new build over the weekend if needs be. Annoying the predownload on PC is only 1GB. So will be a long wait to do the full one.

The hard copy comes on something like 10 DVDs doesn't it? Add to that the streaming of weather, clouds etc it's going to be a beast.

Yeah the full download is 120-150gb. It's the scenery streaming that'll be the killer. Realtime weather updates in FSX don't make too much of a hit and I guess that data will be much the same, just rendered massively better which I assume is client side.

I'm the same pal.

Fascinating game, graphics and planes are amazing. Some youtubers are really in to it and know what they are doing with the pre-flight checks and controls etc.

Unfortunately I don't have the patience for a lot of sims as I don't play on my PS4 too often, I enjoy some aspects of realism but sometimes it goes beyond the point where a game is no longer fun for me. Fair play, some people enjoy it and it's a good hobby.

Thats incredible, looks stunning and the fact they have created a navigatable globe that is accurate and looks detailed from the sky at least is nothing short of remarkable. Only wish i had a pc or they were doing it on ps4. Is this where gaming is heading? Will the ps5 have the power to pull in things like live weather conditions into games?
