General Videogame Thread

Was really tempted to get it but held off due to the buggy reviews and a lack of console footage...then ive seen loads of comments like yours! Shite, sorry man. Think ill hold off for a few months until they fix it all. God knows when the official next gen upgrades will come along.

Ye I spoke to u on Twitter before saying a few bugs never bothered me but jeez it honestly looks terrible, it's like a PS3 game.

Really pissed off :(

What is CP 2077 gameplay like? Open world restrictions or more like GTA? I missed the hype around this game.

Got a bargain on Metro exodus for the Playstation- £6 pound reduced from
£35. It’s nots as creepy as the first game.

Once you have done the initial intro parts the whole world becomes unlocked. There is no do zone A to unlock zone B etc.

Plus there is way more vertical roam space than most games.

Slated for later in 2021.

So, given recent CDPR development trends, I would say you’ll most likely have it in 2025. ;-)

Cheers for the info, mate. Important for those thinking of picking it up.

Sorry it is so **** right now, though. Is that with the Day 0 and Day 1 patches?

Ahhhh I remember that! Unlucky man. I'm not too arsed about bugs either, but there's always a threshold of when it starts to feel just unfinished and eventually it just ruins immersion. My mate who reviewed it warned me big time to hold off, hence why I didn't pick it up. FWIW, its being slated all over social media, so i'd guess the devleopers are working big time to fix it.

Maybe that’s where they got 2077 from
That was the standard joke when CDPR kept delaying release.

Unfortunately for them, it now seems to be the joke about when the game will be what they billed it to be (a la No Man’s Sky).

Ye they've got to do something, even if they tidy it up just a little.

Yeah, I also have a high bug threshold having played many a Bethesda title. But, just like with a few of theirs, when it starts to pull you out of the world or require save reloads to overcome game/mission breaking bugs, it is too much. With those I either waited to pick it up until I was reasonably certain most of the bugs were fixed (what I did with Fallout: New Vegas and The Witcher 3) or I give it a pass entirely (Fallout 76).

It had a 50gb update this morning but I've no idea what it fixed, certainly not the graphics ha.

Ebay it is i guess.

That’s what I was afraid of. A part of me was still holding out hope that the patches would take care of most of the old gen issues, at least, which is what CDPR said they would do. I can deal with (and expected) the graphic downgrade but from what I have seen/heard, even that is laughably bad compared to how it was being shown over the last few years.

Seems they’ve gone full Bethesda and/or Hello Games (pre-redemption) in a few ways.

Still, if you got the disc version it can always be used as a coaster, so there is some intrinsic value! ;-)
