General Videogame Thread

Yeah ‘Chucks Guide’ for the F16 Viper. 700 odd pages.
Haha, I remember the Microprose manuals back in the day. Falcon 4.0 was 500 pages long.

I'll never miss an opportunity to share this link:

How hard is it to play mate? Do you basically have to know how to fly a plane?
As Chicago Blue proves, flying an aircraft is relatively straight forward once you’ve been shown.

Getting up in the air is very straight forward, using all the weapons systems takes quite a bit of practice, as does landing. According to lots of videos of real life fighter/bomber pilots, it’s very close to the real thing and several countries use it to train new pilots before they stick them in tens of millions of dollars worth of kit.

Nice one, might give it a whirl. I've got a vr headset to try it, supposed to be very life-like.

After struggling for so long with Magrit, soon got onto Godrick and found that quite easy in comparison. I'm 70 hours plus in and most of that has just been spent wandering and exploring, but it really is an enormous game.
I was the same, had to get my mate to help me with Margit as I'm a melee build and was getting ruined. I killed Godrick on my 2nd attempt though! Such a good boss, the mad bastard.

100 hours into Elden Ring and just beat Radahn but been all overs maps killing miner bosses and going down the mines plus doing some of the npc storyline.

Think I’ll mooch about a bit more before the next major remembrance boss.

On full sim mode it’s realistic and I do mean, realistic modelling every single flight and weapons system.

Im hundreds of hours into the sim and still a relative amateur compared to some.

Check videos of ex A-10 and F-18 pilots etc who play this and say just how incredibly real it is.

Warning as well, this game is a money pit. I’ve spent over £600 on my HOTAS and rudder peddles and built a £2k plus rig to play it on lol.

As someone that has just got into sim racing my wallet understands your pain

Great stuff.

Level 55 now and just beat Rennala. Having a blast. Feels as if I'm not finding that much in the way of caves, especially round lake liurnia.

Must be about 50 hours in and I've loved every minute of it
