General Videogame Thread

Wow, that's a fantastic effort.

The F1 games look superb these days, I think the last one I played was 2001.
Cheers mate. They’re great games, I usually play them hard for a few months until the wife moans about the seat and then wait for the next one. This year you can run your own team which really adds depth to the game and I can see myself hanging on playing a bit longer.

one thing with the seat though, when you put the force feedback up to maximum, you’re pissed wet through by the end of the race.

Is being able to run your own team on the 2020 edition and not the 2019? That's a big pull factor, love stuff like that in games. I like playing fifa career mode, ripping a lower league team apart and buying lots of players.

Ghost of Tsushima seems good so far. I'm not too bothered by the lip syncing issue. Only had a go for a couple of hours, i've died a few times and managed to get a sword upgrade but I have just been wandering around playing the flute and chopping up bandits, kind of like an angry Pied Piper.

Was on it for 4/5 hours yesterday seems to be opening up a little now after another very long cinematic lol

I haven't actually done any story missions yet aside from the tutorial. I've been wandering around finding shrines etc. I came across an old trading post that the Mongols have taken over and I wasn't strong enough to take them on, i've had a few health upgrades from hot springs since then and the aforementioned sword upgrade so I might now be in a better position to go back.

Best of luck bud.

XBox Live Gold 12 month subscriptions now discontinued, with only 1 and 3 months available once stock depleted. Looks like an overhaul of its on-line services. No doubt to tie in with the launch of the Series X.

Rumors are Xbox live will be free from November and the only subscription service will be for the game pass

Loving Ghosts.

Best advice is go with the parry skill tree first. Once you can block most things (including arrows) you can do pretty much any encounter with good timing.

That's what I love about it so far, it doesn't seem like you will have to mega grind for the best equipment in order to be able to complete the game.

One other thing is I would do the game on hard. Once you get a bit better with the katana medium becomes a little less challenging. Plus hard will stop button mashing in combat and force you into timing and aiming of strikes.

Been having a look around the older Football Manager games (as I need a Linux native version) and found this database on FM18.

From 1995. Smashing squad we had then.

Finally I will get the chance to see Andy Dibble and Niall Quinn in my 4-2-3-1 Guardiola style tiki taka formation.

Small update on this. Seems that the 1995 City team are not particularly equipped to play a Pep-like formation and that Kinkladze and Ekelund are not adequate replacements for De Bruyne and Silva. Nor does my midfield of Jim Whitley, Steve Lomas or Michael Brown really understand the deep lying playmaker role.
My plan therefore is to twat it long to Quinny and hope he sticks his head on it. That worked for Alan Ball right?

Have you told them 'We're better than the mexicans' yet?
