General Videogame Thread

I could never get into Zelda, weird considering how popular it is & I absolutely love open world RPG games. Personally think it's because it's to much cartoon like.

Anyway my loss lol

I'll wait for the new Final Fantasy :)
You're not alone, I've tried previous Zelda games but its just not for me. Much prefer the likes of Skyrim, Fallout, Dishonoured, Red Dead, Witcher etc.

Breath of the Wild was much evolved from previous Zelda games. The graphical style and story also evolve heavily between entries as well. It could be that Tears of the Kingdom is exactly what you’re looking for.

It seems like they could make 'Legend of Zelda: Link makes some dinner' and it would get 100's across the board. I played Breath of the Wild and it was a solid OK. Not nearly worth the accolades it got.

I understand we are all different etc. and the posters on this videogame thread seem intelligent and decent humans, but the lack of Zelda love means that if in the unlikely event anyone of you offered me the chance to be real life friends, or indeed lovers, I would have to politely say NO

Final beta test for Diablo 4 this weekend, if you kill the world boss you will get an exclusive mount when the game goes live in June. I’ll be smashing it this weekend just for that as I don’t want to play too much before official release.

Snap. Zelda always seemed to me to be for the kids.

It’s probably the exact opposite. From a gameplay and game design perspective, it’s one of the most mature series in gaming. By comparison I’ve always seen CoD as being ‘for the kids’ due to how simple of an experience it is. A bit like the happy meal of gaming whereas Zelda is the delicious steak.

Yeah, but in CoD, you can pretend to be a ultra macho super soldier, shoot people in the face with rocket launchers and have edgy online 'bantz' with 12-year-olds. :-)
