Generally do city make your life better or worse?

I'd ask the wife, but she's burried in the back garden under the patio....Well fancy asking me do I want a cup of tea when the spuds have just been awarded a penalty!!!! Silly sod.

Even the dog used to sit at the back door waiting to go out.

NO City have ruined my life, well and truly...

Im a City fan born at the wrong time...1973...I have early memories of choosing City in 1977...I dont have the glory years of Lee, Summerbee and Bell to comfort me in the lean years.

I remember watching the 1981 cup finals (on TV sadly) and the crushing devastation of that, the disbelief at how we managed to lose...I consoled myself that there was always next year.

I didnt then imagine that we still wouldnt have reached a major semi-final by the time I was 36.

Im a City fan not from the Manchester area...at my school the one City fan, among hundreds of United and Liverpool fans...I stubbornly fought my corner, and always swore next season City would prove them wrong...

I love City, but life as a City fan has been a case of hope for the best, expect the worst.

They are a constant disappointment! Even with the richest club in the world tag i still feel low sometimes because we build hopes up and then have total mediocrity smash those hopes apart!
Plus i dont really have any player that i love to death like i did Uwe+Kinky when i was a kid or SWP before he went to Chelsea! and the total lack of desire and effort put in by a lot of our players makes me feel like i want to get out of my seat and kick the fuckers right up the arse to show them what abit of aggression and passion really is like!

But the future does look good and i always live in hope that we can produce a team - not even that wins things - but that show that they love City and have the real passion and desire to be here with us!
None of this Anelka "if City dont get into Europe i want to leave", Distin "i want more money than City can offer me" and Ireland "It's getting to the stage now where I don't know if I'm going to be signing or not. I think I've done enough this year, let my football do the talking"(in other words 'United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal are you listening to this City might not give me what i want so just keep an eye out on the situation!')!
I just want players who can rise above coming out in the media and putting a downer on the club and get on with proving themselves and winning with effort and a bit of style to boot! if we win trophies then great but id live the rest of my life happy not to win a trophy than turn into the glory hunting, bandwagon, arrogant twats that are ManYoo!

To answer the question City often make my life worse, but i wouldnt live my life without them!

Being a city fan used to be like buying a lottery ticket, you know there is a prize somewhere, and there is a chance you can win something, but you know in your heart of hearts you have just wasted your money, and being a masochist you do it every week!

Well not anymore the sheik arrived and the lottery is just a drop in the ocean! I now look forwards to transfer windows more than christmas :-)

I am only thirteen years old, my Dad was a RAG, and I chose never to follow him as he was a typical 'stay away' fan. When my mum divorced him when i was young my step Dad was a blue through and through and he took me to my first game at maine road aganst Arsenal, we got beat 5-1. He has since taken me to many games a season, we try to go to every home game we can. I am now so pleased that I became a blue, and in answer to your question, I didn't experience the glory days, I grew up seeing city playing lokeren in the Qualifyers of the UEFA cup, but I wouldn't swap it for anything.

Most of the time it is a painful experience supporting City but every so often you get days like the play off final in 99, the day when we got taken over and signed Robbie or beating United at the swamp that make you so happy and giddy. I believe that those times as a City fan I have enjoyed so much more than 99% of the rags who saw United lift the league title this year. One day City will lift a trophy again and I can't wait for that moment! CTID
