George Floyd murder / Derek Chauvin guilty of murder

No. Approx 2 seconds to close that gap and kill an officer. So draw taser, fire, miss-stabbed. Fire, hit, only connect with outer clothing-stabbed.
majority of mental health issues are drug induced psychosis-maybe his family failed him, maybe education, maybe health services, maybe social care-but he also chose to lead a violent life that resulted in his own violent death. This is not the fault of the officers. And this individual should not be a Martyr.
do you know what British police are taught to do when somebody runs at them with a knife? Run away. Otherwise you will probably get stabbed.....
When a young black man is killed in an avoidable situation. I am saddened and dissapointed at what often seems an avoidable consequence :(

But I generally attempt to ignore the narrative driven claims or descriptions. He wasn't standing 10 feet away. He was advancing. The idiocy of that claim of being killed while "he stood 10 feet away" is brain freezing.

for fuck sakes, he was advancing on cops with gun drawn who were retreating. I mean, they were in the spot where they shot him a few seconds before they did. They had to give up that spot to an advancing man with a weapon.

i wish they hadn't shot him. I wished he had simply sat on the ground or listen to his Mum who tried and failed to stop him from acting out.

Unfortunately, he is dead from a situation no one should put themselves in :( And that's a tragedy.

The wheels of justice need to move quicker especially if it's against one of their own. Here's a case from North of the border (Calgary) where there is obvious evidence yet the officer still had a year's suspension (with pay) then came back to duty (admin duties only). Fellow officers at the scene were united in testifying against him. Why did it take so long. 3 years to come to trial.

Anyone know why Anthony Joshua and the rest of the boxing crowd didnt take the knee before the fight?
Because it was a sports event without any political affiliation or message. The white bloke did get quite badly beaten up if that helps? :-)
