no but I’d bet a lot of money that a very large percentage of people who die at the hands of police have a previous criminal past so yes I think it’s less likely he would have been killed by police if he was a law abiding person

If that large percentage of people is at anything less than 100% then it's shocking. Plus, last I looked passing a fake bill wasn't necessarily even a criminal offence, never mind one deserving of summary execution without a trial. When you take the view that people with a minor previous conviction that they've made reperations for are fair game to be murdered by police or somehow deserve it compared to anyone else that's a bit of a fucked up mindset. What next? I think that this whole depressing saga has finally changed attitudes within the system, we may have reached a point where they realise they can’t get away with this kind of shit anymore as the blowback will be huge. I think plenty will want the copper found guilty and with a harsh sentence.
I am too cynical to believe there has been a shift morally and they care about the victim just self interest is kicking in. Let’s hope some of the jury don’t fuck up the correct decision.
