Someone mentions that Duante has been seen in a photo with a hand gun (to show he's a bad guy). But isn't that his constitutional right? (Even if open carrying might be against state law.)

Someone eise points out that soccer mums post with guns. And that a Republican official thinks arming his kids is worth a family portrait. But at least one child a week in the USA is killed by accidental shooting (by another child). Though the statistics aren't totally reliable because Republicans tried to stop the government spending money on research into gun violence.

"No guns" isn't the "solution". But guns are the problem.

Or perhaps you really like to live in a society which is certainly "different," in terms of how many people get killed by guns, based on an 18th century readiness to defend yourselves against an oppressive foreign regime.

No, it undermines your argument because it omits a fundamental, foundational principle...America was literally BORN with the right to bear arms. This right is not going away. Refusing to acknowledge this fundamental point makes any discussion beyond that point hypothetical and a waste of time.

I have said nothing about this,and it has nothing to do it’s my discussion of the topic.

First point was HALF of soccer moms, which was hysteric@l bullshit. And, it’s their right, isnt it? Just like Duante!

Second point is political. If you can’t understand the reason or such a picture, then there’s no hope in understanding certain areas of the USA.

The difference in the UK is that in dealing with an incident involving firearms, the police will attend with an armed unit.

When dealing with a traffic violation it will 9 times out of 10 be dealt with by an officer with a notebook and pen. And guess what... nobody gets shot.

EVERY incident is a potential firearms incident in the USA, which is by we dispatch EVERY OFFICER with a firearm. You answered you own conundrum! We just make sure he is here when the guns come out, not 15 minutes later!

999,999 times out of 1,000,000 a traffic violation is dealt with by US and UK officers in the same way. Guess what.....!!!
