My favourite city player of all time he was a genius absolute magician with ball at his feet, would love to see how he would have got on in todays team suspect he would have been incredible.
He also had a genuine love for the fans and the club to such an extent we held him back and kept him at the club for one season to long and it ruined him.

Yeah strange that after he left us the magic left his feet, remember him at Derby and he was more a work house than a magician for them

It was like he was playing in Robbie Brewers boots, and then when he left we took them off him

No matter what we achieve as a club and who we sign in the coming years, I really can't see me having more affection for a player than I had for Gio.

He was a genius during the worst period of the Club's entire history and if it wasn't for him it would have been even more painful.

It seems ridiculous when you consider how we plummetted when he was at the club but I don't think the Messi comparisons are unwarranted.

City should make that little pr**k Robinho watch that video and show him how a player with real skill and heart play's the game.
He's not got enough about him to wipe the sweat from Kinky's nut sack lol
If kinky played for us now he would be up there with Messi

1995/1996 was my first ever season where i had a season ticket (yep couldn't have started at a worse time) but having Kinky at City was a dream for me as a 10 year old, we had Kinky!

And Uwe too, 2 of my all time favourites. Knowing we had them two help made me cope over having the likes of Creaney, Beesley and Symons.

Nothing wrong with kit symons, legend, lol

Always loved Lomas as well, dont know why, clearly limited but made the best of it.

Yeah to be fair he was one of our better players in the Prem when we got relegated, in the First Division though different story :s

i need to hold my hands up here. kinky is probably the one player i don't give enough credit to when i look back at my 22 years of watching city. i love white, quinn, coton, rosler, goater, lake, bishop, anelka, swp, hinchcliffe, benarbia and many more but i never talk about kinky as being amongst my favourites. i shall learn to appreciate him more from this day forward.

Its criminal that all we've really got to remember him by is a poor quality 9 minute clip on youtube... I wish someone would make a proper dvd out of the original footage of kinky and some of the other great moments from our time in the wilderness (which for me personally were the most exciting and memorable times ive had as a city fan)
