typical that they highlight the elbow on the back page but then proceed to claim there will be no action as the ref saw it, unbelievable, trying to lay the foundations in people's minds that he will get off.
it doesn't matter that the ref saw an incident, he obviously didn't see the forearm smash.

There is clearly not going to be any charges, sky sports news isn't even reporting it, of what I've seen anyway, besides, I don't want him to get a ban, I want them to fail without an excuse, much more satisfying!!!
Edit...... It's been spoke about in the paper review by Steve curry, however I would say clearly going to be dis-missed, sky would probably report it has shock breaking news.

The questions are simple: If the ref saw it as a piece of brutal thuggery, why did he not deal with it? If he didn't see it, would he have sent him off? I have a sinking feeling that if you are one of the England shoe-ins, you get much more lenient treatment from the corruptors at the FA. If you are a fringe player, eg SWP, then you cop for the full wrath of a vindictive governing body making a show of dealing with thuggery on the pitch.
The commentator on Sunday was almost apoplectic when Barry had his contre-temp with the Sunderland guy, and was choking at getting the words out that if you raise your hands . . . . . . . .

I havent seen it but if it was a sending off offense we all know nothing will come of it.
Its a shame the Portsmouth keep gave them that 1st goal last night, i only watched 10 minutes of the game leading up to the 1st goal and Liverpool were getting desperate. In the 1st few minutes of watching, they tried 3 times getting penalties via blatent dives inc Gerrard of course.
