I agree that this is a problem and that more City fans need to realize this.
But it's a bigger problem with the big names.. Boateng and Gervinho have done nothing in their career to give them a guaranteed spot in the first choice starting 11
Boateng was in the german national team and one of the brightest talents in the german league. Offcourse he didnt come here to be a squad player, and in his mind he thought he was bought to be a starting player. When that didnt happen, he wants to leave because its not like he's short of options.
Gervinho is actually rated as the best player in the French league by alot of people, despite Hazard winning the award. Right now there's alot of clubs after him, and Im sure he's not leaving Lille to be a bench player, so if he goes to City and dont establish himself, he would want to leave. But then again if he comes where does that leave someone like Johnson?
