Getting a Combi Boiler

Water companies have an obligation to provide a certain pressure measured in litres per minute. I would check with your supplier first and see what they can do.
Problem I had with condensing boiler was drainage pipe freezing in winter as boiler was in garage.

House has crap hot water pressure so shower is useless. Been told a combi will sort it. Any advice or views before I splash some cash on this?

Don't listen to them lot get a combi it will save you some serious £££££££ if you get a good one. Get either a Worcester or Valiant they are the only ones worth buying. Put a Worcester when I moved in to my current house as soon as I moved in 7 1/2 years ago I've never looked back the best money I ever spent.

Still collecting quotes for a complete boiler replacement to my dead powermax 155.

2750 is the cheapest so far, B.Gas the most at 3500.

This is for a W Bosch.
Hi Bimbo, if your interested still, and live in or around Manchester, I can match your lowest quote (2750) for fitting a Vaillant ECOTEC28 which is as good or better than a W/Bosch, its a very good Condensing Boiler, price includes fitting boiler and new radiators, power flush ( B.Gas robbing gits will charge at least £400 extra for this and its quite important with a new system), system cleaning agents, VAT, and a FIVE year warranty, fully GAS SAFE ( CORGI ) registered.

p.m. if this is of help...... DD

Bought my Worcester boiler online almost 3 years ago, cost 800 and paid a gas registered mate 500 quid to fit it. Had to take the old water tank out, took almost 2 days so he did alright out of it! Cant see any gas registered engineer charging much more than that mates or not.

Mine seems to have developed a problem. It has a wireless thermostat and should come on when the room falls below whatever temperature, the thermostat shows the flame indicator to show it's doing what it should, the receiver box then flashes as it should and the on light comes on, it seems the box is then not telling the boiler to switch on, hot water works fine and fuck knows how to override it and switch the boiler on manually? My Mrs' Dad is a gas man and usually sorts it out, but he's away at the minute so it's candles and cold mornings for the time being.
