Getting a GP appointment

Hope your mum got sorted eventually mate, shocking treatment.

The Tories have been shit haven't they? But as you say the NHS is infested with people you mention in your post.
Re my mam, ta, she is quiet, church going and mother's union, but when the gp told her to phone, the inner Kippax after a 3 nil loss to Bury came out. He's sent the letter :-)
The tories have been shit I fully agree. Johnston (sp) should be leading instead of thinking it was some sort of rugby club piss up and some one else will sort out the bar bill.

I’ve already come to terms that if my back injury is what I expect it to be it’s going to cost me £7.5k to fix it!! If waiting times are years I can’t live like this, within a month I’ll be sorted. I should be able to at least claim the tax back if the nhs can’t fulfil its obligation.
Some of these doctors need to remember the Hippocratic Oath.

No it is not part of the Tory plan. Johnson has not told the entire North West gp service to act like wankers.
I changed surgeries because they were useless and lazy, all I got was exactly the same.
I annoys me when labour supporters blame the tories for everything.
Care and consideration, professional pride, a desire to help, the tories didn't remove any of that in the last round of cuts.
I've suffered for over 2 years, I've seen gp wankers, specialist wankers and wankers in general. They have lost all professional pride.

I’m not a Labour supporter you tool

I didnt day you were ! I just disagreed with your statement that it was a tory plan.
I do get stressed with the shit I'm having to deal with and I may over react because of it. I am sure there are some good doctors out there it is just I have yet to meet them.
I just want to see them think about their patients rather than themselves.

I can guarantee you there are many great doctors and many health care professionals who are brilliant. Of course some are lazy, work-shy or whatever else you want to label them. The NHS is the biggest employer in the UK - you going to get some bad uns.

But what is undeniable is that a series of recent governments - Labour included but mostly the tories - have systematically undermind and underfunded the NHS. The system, partly because of covid too and the backlog it created, is at breaking point. And make no mistake a significant section of the tories want it to break so they can fully privatise it!

GP's down 1700 since 2015.
Patients per GP practice, on average, 2200+ more today than in 2015. averaging well over 9000.
Number of monthly appointments: about 30 Million.
The UK ranks 33rd on a list of 'physicians per capita' with less than 2.8

The more primary care physicians you have, the greater life expectancy a country has and ours is, for the first time in recorded history, going backwards.

Interestingly enough, who do you think will be doing your £7500 operation? What do you think will happen, should you get into serious difficulties on the operating table and need critical care? Which hospitals do you think make trainee doctors into doctors?

It is a bit difficult when 2 identical threads are running at the same time, I have just posted in the other one, since May 2000 I have been sent twice to hospital as an emergency. I have had 3 different scans including MRI and the brain one. I have seen an eye specialist and a neurologist plus various others. In 2 years despite repeated requests at TWO different surgeries, I have NEVER seen a gp.
There may be good gp's but I haven't found one.
A&E is going under because these overpaid useless wankers just send everybody there.

I know who will be doing it, probably the same doctor if I wait two years to see. My point is that me been off work long term costs the tax payer far more than if they at least meet me halfway. I’m not saying I’m more important than anyone else, but if I can get well and be productive again then surely that’s a plus?

That’s fair enough, and you’re perfectly entitled to be treated wherever you like, at whatever facility you choose, but you were suggesting you should get a tax rebate and I was just explaining why you shouldn’t.
