Agreed. Chuck yourself in the path of the defender, immediately in front of him, he's always going to make contact.Looking down from SS3 I was convinced it wasn't..but we all have different views ..

It was if the ref gave it for the forearm to the back, which I think he must have.I disagree I think Southampton we where fortunate but not a huge error, just surprised VAR considered it enough to overrule the penalty.
It was never a sending off on the double jeopardy rule.
The one I have thought was Bellingham’s goal at the Etihad last season. That was a big error, especially blowing as to not let VAR have a say.
Never a red:
This maybe evened up the blatant pen we didnt get in the 1st leg of SF at Goodison when Navas was taken out.
As was mentioned above Bellingham against Dortmund last season. We got out of jail big time. Pep may not have got to over think in Porto had the ref not had a brain fart that night.Agree with this. I also thought it was a penalty but definitely no red card. But I also think we were quite unlucky that the injury time goal was disallowed as it looked to me like Foden put the ball in the net, not Sterling. So I don't feel overall that we were lucky in that game.
Some scousers are citing the Kompany challenge in the Jan-2019 Etihad game. But conveniently forgetting the even more blatant hack by Matip(?) on Aguero which preceded it. So that at minimum evened out within the same game.
Then there was the Sterling penalty award when he clearly tripped (and didn't appeal) but we won that game in a canter anyway.
I actually can't remember us getting a clearly beneficial decision in a close match. But I can reel off close to a dozen where we have got shafted. Am I totally biased or are we routinely and deliberately getting fucked?
Salah offside for the Dippers first goal in the CL game - he was the only player in our half when the ball was passed to him.The question you should be asking is when did we ever have one go for us at Old Toilet or Anfield against either of the red vermin. (or the Etihad for that matter)
The answer - I don't remember fucking one! Ever. (maybe the Kompany challenge on Salah which was nowhere near as bad as the one by the worlds greatest Centre Half against Napoli the week before for which neither walked)
The list is long and painful - just a few:
No pen, foul or booking for Milner on Foden from behind when 1 on 1
No 2nd booking for Milner for foul on Bernardo
Salah Dive for last years pen
TAA slapping a cross away from which they counter and score
Firmino handling a cross in the box (Peps famous "Two Times rant"
Milner going through back of Sterling on the line preventing a tap in.
Goal wrongly ruled out for offside played backwards by a scouser.
TAA sliding through Sterling in the box next to the bye line
Firmino shoving John Stones out of the way with both hands to score
and more ad infinitum - fucking scandalous really.
