Getting from Manchester to Wembley Stadium in a wheelchair

lol. That webpage is a liar. In a wheelchair you always have to double check everything. I was told the same, that I could use Euston Square by somebody on the phone. However I phoned again today for journey care assistance, to be told that the wheelchair access is not ready yet at Euston Square. That's why I made the previous post for anybody else who has been ill informed.

Thanks anyway.

i have disabled relatives who can take banter and i'm sorry if i have offended you. It's just people seem to defend the people with disabilities whilst the disabled person might be thinking, ''hang on lads, i might be disabled but it doesnt mean i dont find it funny or i cant stand up for myself''.

it's people who are presumptious to think disabled people cant defend themselves or are easily offended, that from experience, pisses disabled people off.

sorry again.

Just for info for anybody else who may be in similar circumstances.

It seems like the man on the London Underground was lying to me, there is no wheelchair access YET, at Euston Square. As I was advised on here, I am going to have to walk down to King's Cross.

Checked out all the info on that, and it looks like there is a 127 mm step onto the underground at King's Cross, and a 5O mm at Wembley Park. Think I should just be able to manage them in my electric wheelchair.

I know it is going to be bedlam, but as this thread displays, I believe people's attitude to wheelchairs these days is really great. I am quite confident there will be lots of people there more than happy to help me. Thanks everybody again for your assistance, best wishes.

btw entrance H, block 141, roll 28, seat 231, if you don't know what I look like, I'm the one in a wheelchair. :D

I was supprised about there being a lift at Euston Square that is why I called the station and spoke to the Station Supervisor. He confirmed that they do have a lift but it is only on the west bound platform so is only of use on the journey to Wembley Park you will have to change at Kings Cross on the way back. It was paid for by the Welcolme Trust not LUL and takes you directly to the platform level bypassing the booking hall. Aparantly it has had some reliability issues so I suggest that you call LUL customer services on 0845 330 9880 on the day so that they can check first hand with the station to make sure it is working when you need it.

If you do go via Kings Cross it is only a couple of minutes away from euston by bus and they are frequent and all are easily accessed by wheelchair.

Hello yaba daba BLUUUUUE,

Can you please let me know where you are currently located at coms my brother sits at entrance 140 whilst i am not going to wembley i have family members who are who would not think twice in allowing you to travel from manchester to london with them in a 7 seater car which your wheel chair would be able to be acomdated.

Can you please email me as a matter of urgency on charlotteabbie@hotmail.com to arrange you to get down rather than relaying on london transport. we will not think twice about helping around when you need it i would rather you contact me than trust the transport.

Thanks Blues can you possibly bump this so the message gets to yabba thanks.
