Getting giddy

We have entered a completely new era under pep. It took me five games before it sunk in fully that we've no need to fear the worse anymore, to such an extent I told rag aquaintance to leave his phone on Saturday as we were going to batter them and their only hope being a fluke of some sort occurring.

Which is exactly how it turned out

Were bound to hit a few bumps in the road but that's not going to stop us reaching our final destination.

Giddy you bet (randomly find myself grinning at how we have played and are going to play in the months/years ahead) that doesn't mean we've become an arrogant, self righteous bunch of cunts like the Trafford Broncos, far from it all I've ever wanted is to see a team giving their all for the club if we win shut along the way all well and good.

over and out.

People were getting giddy last season after 5 wins. Didn't someone start a 'could go undefeated all season' thread?

The only big game we've played so far was the Manchester United game, and we got away with it. Better finishing by them, and a fair referee would have seen us lose that game. However, it ended up being a massive result for us.

So, so getting giddy and just realised that it's us having our usual for start to the season........ let's hope we don't throw it away. Let's face it, Zlatan and Paul Pogba will only improve.....
got away with it ?

So are we...we have come close on several occasions of beating them...we had an inferiority complex...I have a feeling we won't have one anymore
Bayern fans said the same thing before they faced Barca in the CL semi final. That was a strong Bayern team that Pep had coached for what, almost two years? Had some injuries I think, but they were not in Barca's class. We are still getting things installed etc. Barca are the best at keeping the ball, and now with their coach they also play direct when needed. Think we can match them in some aspects, but they have played together for a long time perfecting their concepts p, and their quality up front is too much. In 1-2 years, yes, but I doubt we'll get anything from them this time around. Hate to be a downer, but I don't see it yet against that lot.

What about the "massive" then?

Did you like the 'massive' reference? Threw that one in just in case someone took me seriously.

Great start.
The conversion rate is a bit of a concern (as always) but not too bad for all that.
As to giddiness I'll wait till I've seen us play Spurs, Chelski, dippers (Blue and Red), Arse and Barca before jumping overboard.
That said. I am exceptionally pleased with the way things are going, with team positional discipline being the most impressive thing so far.

I am more optimistic than giddy, I wasn't at any time optimistic last season as the weaknesses in the team and tactics were quite obvious from the get go, it's like watching a different team nowadays

Giddy - no, I'm pissed off.
Last season I got to watch ALL of our EPL games live on my computer. But the provider couldn't afford the huge TV rights increase so SKY now have the rights and show 3 live games from the weekend - not guaranteed to be US.
So now I'm limited to highlights and some of the football shown in those packages is breath-taking. My daughter in Melbourne tells me that they don't have the same coverage as last season which annoys her as well.
Guess we'll just have to emigrate back to Manchester.
