Getting giddy

Quick question for the anorak wearers on here; what's our best run of wins in "competitive" games at the start of a season? We're on 7 at the moment, with Bournemouth and Swansea (twice) in our next three games.

Other than not referring to "them" with their proper title... Rags or Scum where I come from, to be fair this is a reasonable summation.

I remember someone starting a "what's the soonest any team has won the league" thread. The answer to which, of course, is Liverpool in 2014.
