As previously documented, in the last few months, I've had my fair share of investigations. Chest, heart, prostrate MRI and biopsy, ENT, which is awaiting procedure. Last Thursday, I said to my other half, "At least there's one consolation. In a couple of months, I'll be 75 and will have dodged jury service". Next day's postal delivery, you are cordially invited to Minshull Street Crown Court to partake in said Jury Service. My first thoughts were on the chosen dates. I'll hopefully be sunning myself on the Greek islands of Rhodes. By the time I get back, I'll be only a few weeks away from cut-off age. Not so, you can serve until you're 76. Anyhow, I've informed them of my upcoming holidays (health permitting) and also my hacking cough that would not be conducive to a silent courtroom.
