Didn't think he'd fit the profile of what the club wants from a 'keeper but I can hold my hands up and admit when I'm wrong. I'd be happy to have a shot stopper in goal but there'll be little to no playing it back to him and his Bambi on ice feet, I can live with that though.

I want to hear the thoughts of all those people who were adamant Trafford would only come here to be number 1. They were largely silent when he come back seemingly to play number 2 for at least a year with a workable succession plan ahead of him to the number 2 spot.

what about now if we end up signing a 26 year old number 1. That's not workable long term.
We'll loan him to Everton or something.

Trafford would have been well aware of the route City were planning on taking before he signed. He'd have been told there was work going on behind the scenes to sign Donna.

Great signing if true. He’s perfectly suited for major cup success. We often reach the later stages or finals but still lack those crucial miracle saves from a keeper that could help us become repeat UCL champions, like Courtois has done for Madrid many times.

My guess is that Trafford thought he’d be number 2 behind Ederson.. but now he’ll be number 2 behind Donnarumma instead

I think we can safely say that whoever is in net is going to be expected to play out from the back

Pep didn’t deviate from this even when we had Bravo doing it and giving away a goal every other game from doing it in his first season

If Ederson is insistent on leaving, this guy would be a phenomenal replacement

Obviously nowhere near Ederson's standard with the ball at his feet, and that could have a knock on effect. HOWEVER, he's one of the best (if not the best) on the planet at the old school stuff

While Pep obviously has a pattern in terms of the type of player he likes, I always felt like he'd make exceptions and find a way to make it work if the player was genuinely world class in whatever it is they do, with Walker and Haaland being the two just obvious examples
