You're a nice bloke. Someone less kind would have taken advantage of the Online Safety Act and had the GMP knocking on his door.
"They bring a knife. You bring a gun. That's the Chicago Way." :)
And before anyone overreacts I am not advocating calling the Plod on each other over stupid internet arguments.
The alleged threats were against other people mate, not me. I just found it hilarious that someone would message someone else to ask for their address so they could go round & duff them up over an online football disagreement! WTF! Looool :-)
Like most, I've had my moments on here, but they're always reactionary. Two eyes for an eye most accurately describes me! Lol ;-)
However, I try to treat people how I'd like to be treated, & interact with them as if I was face to face in public. It's easy to be a dick when hidden behind a keyboard & I'm certain 99% of people who act like one online, would behave completely differently in person. Alas, it's the downside of the internet unfortunately.
However, if it's one thing I've never been able to abide, it's bullies & their sycophants who willingly pile on, whether online or in real life. Thankfully, those days on BM about 10 years ago are long gone.
As for Richards30, he's evidently a decent fella & doesn't seem to have a harmful bone in his body. He's a credit to this forum & I love his enthusiasm & moodswings from zero to whizzing past the moon with excitement. He brightens up the forum with his wish to turn City into an unbeatable, Harlem Globetrotters type football team. Isn't that what we all secretly wish for? Lol :-)
To sum up, there are some people on BM who I seriously cannot take. I've never put anyone on ignore, but scrolling past their posts or replies isn't as hard as people may think. It certainly works for me & keeps the peace too.
If I can give a bit of advice, it would be to be nice & treat others as you want to be treated. Scroll past members who do your head in, & if they're triggering you, put them on ignore. Lastly, taking regular breaks from online activities & away from your devices, will bring you peace & also seriously improve your outlook on life. )(
